Letter to Milo

Dear Milo,
I hope my letter finds you seated in your chaise lawn chair, the kind with the criss-cross webbing in it that makes your buttocks look like Belgian waffles.
I hope you are gazing at the fiery yellows, oranges, and reds of the evening sunset in the west.
I hope you are savoring the fresh aroma of a newly mowed lawn that rewards you for a long afternoon of yard work.
I hope you have your favorite brand of orange soda in your hand, and a thrilling baseball game playing on the AM-FM radio by your side.
Sure, the neighbor's Chihuahua may be annoying you with its ceaseless shrill yapping, but if that's the only thing that spoils the vibe, you'll take it, right?
See? No AI needed. You were able to picture the scene quite well. That's what good writing does for you.
I'm already loving my new typewriter.

Lovingly yours,
Skye

Furry singers

The reason I follow the singers so closely (especially those who sing Broadway and opera) is they stand a better chance than all other furries of making the entire fandom look good. All they have to do is sing before the public at large, every chance they get.

But the singers had better hurry and get this done. Have you seen footage of your typical fursuit parade? Boring at best, and looking like one of Dr. Evil's nefarious plots at worst. God forbid President Trump should see one of these, or we'd all have to go into hiding.

Good Omens

It seems now that much ado is being made about TV programs called Good Omens and Good Omens 2. These two shows are about an angel and a demon who are seemingly unable to carry on the proper amount of enmity between each other, and who against all odds go on to be best friends. Some fan art depicts the two spirits as gay lovers.
I haven't seen any of these programs. The Prime Video streaming service where they can be found is not in my money budget right now, nor can enough discretionary time be found in my time budget.

Oklahoma furry ban

Ain't it just like a Republican to worry about something that's inconsequential?

Justin Humphrey, a Republican member of Oklahoma's state legislature, is proposing a bill that is to prohibit young public school students from dressing up or acting like a cartoon animal. Humphrey is not totally wrong. A problem exists, and something ought to be done about it, to be sure, but a "Thou shalt Not" written into the state law is not the answer.

Here's my take on it: Teenagers are looking to the furry fandom for acceptance that they feel cannot be had elsewhere. They could be in for disappointment. From what I hear, the fandom has its own problems with elitism and bullying, same as the world at large. There is no guarantee this fandom won't make them feel worse.

My advice is to pay attention to their feelings. If they intend to get their paws wet, start them with harmless drawings of a fursona in art class. Make sure you help them to feel comfortable with their humanity. After all, I'm in the fandom because it helps me to see my humanity in a different light.

Description of Skye Goodfellow

Skye Goodfellow is a cartoon angel bear. He is approximately 6 ft tall, with brown fur overall and tan colored fur around his muzzle. He has giant white wings that can spread to approximately 12 to 13 ft. A halo composed of a ring of bright yellow stars hovers over his head, brighter stars near the front. He has pudgy hand paws that have four fingers each, and oval shaped foot paws that have three toes each.

Skye likes to wear a sky blue blazer and matching slacks with a purple button down long sleeve shirt inside the jacket. The blazer has purple pocket squares down near waist level. He also likes to wear a pair of golden framed pince-nez glasses on top of his muzzle.

Skye's main ability is flying, which he does by flapping his white wings. He also has the ability to walk through walls like a ghost, turn invisible, and has super normal strength.
